Repairing Plaster With Plaster Washers
Old-school plaster on wood lathe can be difficult to repair. Once the "keys", which are the areas of plaster that smoosh through the gaps in the lathe, break off there is nothing holding the plaster to the wall or ceiling. Cracks due to movement of the framing can also be a problem. While you can't magically repair this damage, the closest thing to magic is the use of plaster washers with adhesive pumped-in behind the plaster through drilled holes. This video will show you the process on a real jobsite.
